Who we are
We are a small, ethical family-run business aiming to provide products that are as
natural as possible. Our aim is to show people that they can make a difference to
our environment, how we shop, and how they can use natural products for their well-being.
Why we sell what we sell
We are passionate about everything we sell – whether it’s our organic, handmade soaps,
our organic, handmade skincare products, or our natural aromatherapy soy candles.
We love using traditional handcrafting methods to produce luxury products of superior
quality, and think of ourselves as a local cottage industry that will benefit not only our customers but also our
community.
Where we’re located
We are based in the picturesque village of Irwell Vale in the Rossendale Valley in East Lancashire, in the NW of England.
This area has long been known as the birthplace of cotton mills, with all the industrial
connotations that brings to mind.
We love the natural beauty of the valley and surrounding hills, the people, the sun
and even the rain.
We look back nostalgically to a period long before we were even born to a time of
small, dedicated cottage industries, where small families worked on production, and
when the community still had a sense of togetherness.
Our small village still has that special feeling, and we aim to benefit all who work
and live in our area.
How long have we been in business?
We have been trading for four years, but have been making soaps since 2002. We have
had an online presence since then in order to test out our ideas, and we are well-known
in our local community. We sell to several local outlets and National Trust gift shops and are actively looking for national distributors who share in our belief in purity, organics and all things 'green'.
