This is proving a popluar place to buy locally-produced food and craft items, and at least Jo won't have to travel far to get there. :) Lots of bargains.

1940's World War II Weekend, Irwll Vale - 28-31 May 2011
Each year, East Lancs Railway organises a weekend full of fun and games with the places along the route hosting enactments, a parade, musical events and more.
This year it's Irwell Vale's turn and we'll be running a stall to give you the best of our products at bargain prices, on Sat 28 May from 1-4 pm and on Sun 29th from 12-2.30 pm.
With Father's Day just around the corner, why not grab a bight at the barbe and get a gift for Dad or yourself too!
After watching the parade from the halt at Irwell Vale there's a vintage concert in the Methodist Chapel.
